Gerrit doesn't send email for watched projects

Hi Guys,
I am using gerrit 2.2.1. I have SMTP setup with user/pass/server/port
etc set correctly. I know that smtp is setup correctly since, I do see
emails from gerrit when folks make a change to any issue I have
created on gerrit. I get updates etc from gerrit on that issue (since
I created it), or if folks CC on an issue.

*But* I wanted to get email notifications for *all* new issues/changes/
comments etc for all the projects on our gerrit server, even if I am
not CCed.
I therefore have setup a Watched project using the magic "--All
Projects--" and checked "New Changes All Comments Submitted Changes".
I don't have any filters (Only If field) set.

However I don't get any emails when a colleague creates a new issue.

Any steps I can take to debug this would be appreciated.

I am not that familiar with watches, but I will try.
Perhaps --Al Projects-- does not work for watches, try the
project name directly?

My understanding is that notification for "all projects" is allowed as
per this fixed issue:
http://code.google.com/p/gerrit/issues/detail?id=535 which went out
with 2.1.4

On working with Martin F on the IRC channel we found that the problem
was that the
"Send email notifications about comments and actions by users in this
group only to: Authors" Option was checked for the Group.
This prevented any email to go out to watchers as well.

I guess this will solve the issues on my setup too.
