ed25519_sk security key compatibility with gerrit

Hello,

We have a working gerrit 3.7.0 ready for production. Most of our developers use hardware authentication with ssh.  On testing it is found that  we are getting "Permission denied (publickey)" error when trying to clone a repository using ssh with ed25519_sk key pair. Cloning works perfectly with rsa, dsa, ed25519 key pairs. 

Our ssh version is above 8.2 so we believe that there is no need for additional configuration (?). Does anyone please advice about what we are doing wrong.
