Gerrit 2.16.13 - trying to change topMenuColor in gerrit.config - not working

Hi everybody,

we're trying to change the topMenuColor in Gerrit (2.16.13) through settings in gerrit.config (targeting the old GUI). When applying the examples shown in the built-in examples, a lot of colors change but not the toplevel menu.

Questions:

• Is there a way to control the "old GUI" through PolyUI?
• Is there a known bug in 2.16.13 that makes that settings to topMenuColor have no effect?
  

Could someone guiding us?

AFAIK these are independent implementations and the old GUI is no longer maintained

• Is there a known bug in 2.16.13 that makes that settings to topMenuColor have no effect?

you should upgrade to 2.16.21 in order to use all the fixes done since 2.16.13

especially the security fixes which were released yesterday 

Could someone guiding us?

I found this very old bug https://bugs.chromium.org/p/gerrit/issues/detail?id=2047 from 2.6 with a patch.

No idea if this helps.

Why do you want to spend time to polish the old UI ? In 2.16 PolyGerrit is already much better than the GWT UI.

Many thanks for the response. Unfortunately we have some old fellows that are still in love with the "old GUI". We will consider upgrading to 2.16.21 as soon as possible.
