Hi,

I’m working on a tool that automates Gerrit repository creation using REST APIs. One of the requirements is to add individual users as repository owners.

I know this can be done via the WebUI using the singleusergroup plugin (https://gerrit.googlesource.com/plugins/singleusergroup). However, the groups created by this plugin (e.g., user<username>) appear to be virtual and cannot be used directly when calling Gerrit REST APIs.

Is there a way to assign repository ownership to an individual user through the REST API?

Thanks!

FYI for others, this was answered (Unnati figured it out themselves) in Discord: https://discord.com/channels/775374026587373568/1402019723805462649
"the groupid for these single users is user:<username>"

Thanks!
