YUM package naming... underscore or not?

I've had a few issues with the package names in the PGDG repo changing on RHEL.  It seems that from v5.2.1 and later there is an underscore in the package name.  I can't see why what was done, but it's caused some minor chaos for us:

https://yum.postgresql.org/13/redhat/rhel-7-x86_64/repoview/letter_r.group.html

Two packages listed in the repo, one old (no underscore), and one new (with an underscore):

v5.2.0 and earlier, without the underscore:

v5.2.1 and later, with the underscore:

Was that on purpose, or did someone make a typo?
