Go into Device Manager>Network adaptors>chose your Wireless Adaptor>right click properties>Driver>Update driver>Browse my computer for driver>Browse and then go into the Downloads Folder where you have downloaded the Wi-Fi driver to and reinstall this new driver, as all this will make your wireless option of your PC work.
If you go to users folder and click on the user name you can see the pictures, music, docs , videos of each user. You can even backup it folder by folder individually whichever you want to the usb flash drive or external hdd.
There are two alt keys on the keyboard. If you look at the bottom row of keyboard you can see the one on the left side of space bar and the other on the right side of space bar. The alt key on the right side will be looking like alt, alt gr or alt car. Turn off the computer. Hold the alt key on the left and tap f10 continuously. It will go to repair mode. It will show you chose an option, continue, troubleshoot. If it is not going to repair mode, turn off the computer. Turn on the computer. Hold the right alt key ( alt gr or alt car or alt ) and then tap f10 continuously. It will go to chose an option continue and troubleshoot..
Note: You can also go to chose an option , continue , troubleshoot by holding the alt key + tapping f10 or alt gr + tapping f10 on the keyboard while turning on the computer. Once you see the troubleshoot option, you can stop tapping the f10 and stop holding the alt key. Then you can try the keep my files and remove everything ( just remove by files and fully clean the drive ) by following the steps which was mentioned above.
If you uninstall the Wi-Fi drivers from your system, the operating system (OS) may no longer recognize the wireless adapter and it becomes unusable. If you choose to uninstall the driver, make sure to download the latest available Wi-Fi driver before starting the process.
So over the weekend I purchased a brand new Predator Helios 300 Laptop from Best Buy, model #: PH315-55-795C. This model comes with the i7 12700H processor, RTX 3070ti GPU, 16gb RAM and a 1tb SSD. Things however went pretty bad with it pretty quickly though, and I'm trying to understand how and why, and how to solve it when my new one arrives, seeing this one ended up bricked, more info on why to follow.
First however, I am not a fan of Windows 11, and wanted to roll it back to Windows 10 Pro, for which I have a full retail license key. I did a full fresh install of the OS, and all was going well until I let Windows update do it's thing, and it downloaded some display drivers, one called Intel Display, and the other was an Nvidia driver, however I'm pretty sure the former is the issue. On reboot, as soon as Windows loaded, the screen would go black, backlight off, no picture whatsoever. Thinking I had a corrupt windows install (I was having trouble with wifi and the Windows OBE setup crashed after logging into my Microsoft Account and didn't finish properly, but Windows was running fine), I went ahead, wiped the system and reinstalled Windows 10 pro again. The same results ensued, again, after the Intel Display Driver installed.
In troubleshooting, I found that I could connect an external display, via USB C in my case, and get image to show up there without issue, still no laptop display however. I tried changing screen modes, i.e. duplicate or extend displays, turning the backlight on and off, nothing. During this time, the whole system had a hiccup, like the whole thing would freeze momentatrily, and unfreeze after a second or so constantly. I poked around some more, and found something in the display settings that interested me. Under refresh rate, I had the option of choosing "240.003hz" or "60.001hz" as options. Setting the display to "60.001hz" brought it back and the hiccup on the system went away. However, unplugging the external monitor caused the display to revert back to "240.003hz" and turn off again.
At this point, I engaged Acer Support via the phone for help, and here's where things went bad to worse. The tech on the phone had me shut down the system and then hold the power button down for 15 seconds, then initiate a reboot, and enter the bios. Well, holding the power button down as directed apparently bricked the entire machine, no longer could I get it to even post, I'd get a blue power LED, and a quick flash of backlight, and a puff from the CPU fan and that's it, nothing more.
What I'd like to know is if anybody has seen this problem before? Is there a specific driver that is known to cause the issue and can be replaced with a correctly working one? Also, what does holding the power button down do, and why could it brick the machine?
Further, I mentioned above I was having wifi issues: I could connect to a network, but it wouldn't detect internet there, though it was intermittently working. The only network I got reliable access from was my phone's portable hotspot. This was a common issue with both the OEM Windows 11 Home installation and my Windows 10 Pro install. Anybody have any thoughts on that as well? I tried the drivers from Acer's support site and a package directly from Killer Networking (Intel?) as well, same results, connected to network, no internet.
i know this is kinda old but i also had the same issue.. you can't update the intel display drivers.. also you can't let Windows Update it for you either. if this happens you will get a blank screen on restart, unless you plug it into a monitor or you had display output to your nvidia card beforehand.. to fix this issue you must install the intel graphics from your acer laptops drivers and download page.. i had to learn this the hard way and wiped my system thinking it was corrupt or something..

I had made a post a few weeks back about a nivida display adapter driver not working. I had received an answer that worked and was using that for a while and only until recently did it start to hinder me. It didn't matter If I was playing a game that didn't need a high quality visuals, talking to my friends or working on a project it would crash my computer and disconnect. eventually it bothered me when I kept losing my progress on my projects so I looked for a replacement online. I followed a tutorial, only for it to not work and tell me to remove my driver completely. I've tried the official nividia/geforce site for a replacement but none of them want to install. Also as a extra kick in the head I realized the issue was it overheating and my cooling fan (Which wasn't in use because my laptop was sent in for repairs and came back mostly ok aside from the entire left side ports not working so I chose the mouse over the cooling fan) could have easily prevented this from happening. So here I am, asking for any good ways to find and install a replacement display adapter driver for my nitro 5 gaming laptop. It would really help out a lot since what's the point of a gaming laptop if it can't play games that aren't made in decade old engines.
It would help if you told us what exact Nitro 5 model and gpu you have and what OS you are running? As a gaming laptop function depends on how your laptop is setup overall, as there are other drivers that intergrade with how your laptop functions overall and in the actual game settings. You not only need to install the latest NVidia GRD graphics driver, but you need to install all the Intel drivers (use the Intel DASA scan) and all latest WU and have the right settings for the games you play. For the NVidia graphics to perform properly in games, your Nvidia graphics needs to be properly setup through Control Panel and also use their GeForce Experience settings for the games you play, as this is a way to easily setup the gpu for whatever games you play.
On the latest Nvidia GRD graphics drivers, what I've found, is that the best way to install a new driver is to completely uninstall the previous driver offline and then install the new driver offline too and make sure that WU does not update them, so watch the WU and disable any auto Nvidia driver that WU tries to install. As I've done all the above on my Nitro 5 and it functions perfectly on Win-11 22H2 latest version and all the above.
For the OS it's windows. Not 100% sure this is the model I think it's an AN515-55. I can't remember the graphics card that I deleted other then it was a intel(R) UHD graphics card. I have no idea what Dasa scan or "WU" is.
