Youth Basketball Binder

I have placed a white binder at the front desk with information in regards to youth basketball.  In this binder should contain all of the information you need to answer questions that pertains to the league.  PLEASE REFER TO THIS BINDER FIRST WHEN QUESTIONS ARISE.  Please do not delay questions that are asked by members by passing them off to me when 99% of questions can be answered by looking in this binder.  Contents in this binder include the following:

 

1. Game schedules
2. Coaches' handbook
3. Practice schedule
4. Rosters for each divsion (K-1, 2-3 & 4-5)

Examples of questions and answers that can be asked by a member:

 

Q:  I have not receieved a call from a coach regarding what team my child is on.  What should I do?

A:  Im sorry you havent been contacted.  Im sure it was just a small oversight.  Please let me get the information to help you.  (reach for binder).  Ok, what grade is your child in?  What is your child's name?  Ok, I see he is on coach -----'s team.  His practice is scheduled for Monday's at 5:30-6:30.  Go ahead and bring your child to the first practice at Replex and you can talk to him at that time.  In the meantime, we will go ahead and contact him and let him know you called and will be coming to practice at the stated time.

 

Q:  Can I please have a copy of the game schedule?

A:  Yes!  Of course you can!  What grade is your child in?  (Run a copy of that division's schedule).  There you go!  Is there anything else you need? (Help them if there are).  Thank you!  Have a good day!

 

Q:  What day and time does my child have practice?

A:  I will find out for you!  What grade is your child in?  What is your child's name?  I see he is on coach ----'s team.  His practice time is on ---day at -:-- pm.  Is there anything else I can help you with?  (Answer questions if there are any).  Thank you!  Have a good day!

 

If there are questions that you cannot answer from this binder or using common sense is just too complicated for you, then pass the question to me.  Rememember that people want questions answered like they are in the Drive Thru at McDonalds.  They want the information NOW and they want it quick.  Make sure you read through the stuff so you can sound educated in the programs we offer.
