Upgraded to the latest version and sync no longer works.

Which version(s) of Repetitions (desktop and/or mobile and which operating system) are you using and which type of syncing is not working (Cloud or LAN)?

I updated to the latest Rep. s/w (1.82) on both my PC and iPhone.  My PC is running Windows (7?) and my iPhone is on IOS 8.4.  I'm trying to sync via my home network wifi (LAN).  Let me know if you want more details, and I'll try again when I'm at home.

1) Initiate sync from iPhone:

- sync fails
- IOS App Rep goes away from focus (still in background).
- PC error message window states "Sync Failed", "The Connection was closed unexpectedly."
- This scenario is repeatable.

2) Initiate sync from PC:

- No observable effect.

Sync settings appear to be correct.

I then tried removing all Apps on the iPhone, and doing a hard reset of the iPhone. The same results occurred.

LAN syncing seems to be working for me.

Try downloading Repetitions 1.821, which was just released and export your existing databases into new .srs databases (NOTE: It's important you use 1.821 as there was a bug in exporting in 1.82).

Use the newly exported .srs databases as your starting point for syncing to see if you still have issues.

Its now been many months since I've been able to Sync via Lan. I recently tried downloading 1.823 (Win) and exporting to the .srs db but I still get the same error message on Win-Rep, "Unexpected Sync Failure".  IOS Rep is 1.82. Any suggestions?

The actual wording is:

Sync Failed
The connection was closed unexpectedly.

Hi Wayne,

Is this LAN syncing or cloud syncing?

Hi Wayne,

Try exporting your .srs into new .srs files and use those as the files to sync while removing the old ones from every other location and try syncing again. It could be a corrupt database file.

I'm having sync issues too, since I downloaded the Pro version of the Repetitions app on my iPhone SE (has the latest OS).
My database isn't getting pulled.

It's a little more complicated because my computer that had the desktop app died recently and since then I haven't re-installed the desktop client.
I'm looking to follow your instructions but I cannot find the older version (Repetitions-1.821-Linux-x86_64) anywhere! Can you please provide a download link?

Are you still having sync issues?
