to Repetitions
I usually use the a browser to use Repetitions, and it works great for that. I can use it on multiple computers with multiple browsers, and they all update and use the same cloud database.

But I'd also like to use the apps on my Android tablet and phone, and on my Linux desktop. Here, the situation is not so good.

On the tablet, the app never seems to sync with the cloud even though I have the Sync on Start and Sync on Exit boxes checked. I've started and exited the app many times.

On my phone, the app crashes immediately, so I can't tell what it's doing.

The Linux app seems to start and then it displays a Syncing wait bar. But I never had a chance to specify my cloud login and password, so how can it be syncing? Of course, it can't be ... the "wait" is infinite.

It'd be a viable workaround if I could export the database as a .srs file from the web program, because then I could transfer that file to my other devices and just have them just run locally. But there is no provision to Export from the browser; apparently only the desktop can do that. And I can't even get the desktop program to start without immediately going into infinite-wait mode.

Has anyone else been able to sync to the cloud database from an app or a desktop program?

On Android, you're going to have to allow Storage permissions for the app. Typically, apps these days will request permissions, but the current version 1.x has not been updated to do this as development has shifted to the upcoming version 2.0 and the current version will be phased out.

You can switch to Cloud syncing and specify your username and password under Edit -> Sync Settings.
