I have installed RepeaterPhone on my iPhone. It connects to a Parrot node, and my 2 Allstar HamVoip nodes. When I attempt to connect to the Allstar Southcoast Reflector, it denies my connection request with an error message that states “Rejected: No authority found”.

If I connect to the Southcoast reflector from my node, and then use RepeaterPhone to connect to my home node, then I can pass traffic with RepeaterPhone to the Southcoast Reflector. I want to use RepeaterPhone to connect directly to the Southcoast Reflector.

An administrator with the Southcoast Reflector issued me a user name and password. I’m thinking that I need to edit my iax.conf file on my Allstar HamVoip node, but I can’t figure out how to do it. They are not using RepeaterPhone. They use Android with iaxrpt.

Will someone please post their iax.conf file, minus the passwords of course; so I can try to get this RepeaterPhone app to connect directly to the Southcoast Reflector? Maybe then, I can get my file edited correctly.

I have successfully configured the RepeaterPhone app by manually adding a node with the credentials provided to me by the SCR administrator to authenticate with their server. So, now I can connect directly from my iPhone to their server. The only caveat is that the participants list does not populate. That’s a step forward, and I’ll keep fiddling with it till I can get the app to populate the participant’s list.

Greetings, Victor:

Sounds like the south coast reflector specifically blocks WT connections.

However, if you have been issued a username and password to use with one of their nodes to connect your phone client, that has nothing much to do with any of your pre-existing nodes.

You'll want to configure that by manually adding the node to favorites in Repeaterphone. Change authentication from "account" to "node," then fill in the host, username, password and IAX port you were provided by the south coast reflector administrator(s). No need to mess with iax.conf on any of your local nodes, since you are not using one here.
