Greetings:

Just wondering if there is an update on the possibility of adding a
"clarity boost" in Repeaterphone, since an EQ is already being used for
gain control.

If you listen to the audio from Repeaterphone on some repeaters, it
really can be quite muddy. This is why I generally use DVSwitch Mobile
on my old Moto E6, as it's curve is more optimized for 8 kHz audio. It
is not flat by design, and generally sounds better over RF than I can
manage with Repeaterphone.

I recorded some raw audio from Repeaterphone to my parrot node (55553)
with no AGC at an optimal level, and boosted the frequency range around
3 kHz by 5Db. It makes a significant difference. This makes it sound
very similar to what I get from DVSM with no changes.

I can do more A/B comparisons with processing enabled and various
Bluetooth devices, too, if you like, since lots of folks seem to use those.

I have attached two files to this message.

repeaterphone_test1.wav is the raw audio exactly as my parrot node heard
it. repeaterphone_test2.wav is with the mid boost applied.
