Relax.... And a look forward

Well to all of our active members and a hello to inactive members, we
managed to make it to MegaCon and participate in the cosplay
competition even though it seemed like everything was trying to stop
us. People who said yes and then bailed, material/design issues,
worried family members, costs, general crankiness and wardrobe
malfunctions - but we persevered and made it in style! We may not
have won any of the categories (uhm....can we say biased judging
everyone?) but we learned from the experience (break in the footwear
and to myself - relax) and had fun in the process. We'll get a bit of
rest before tackling MetroCon with our new theme, Vocaloid. Alice has
already been busy culling designs for the core group as well as I have
been in contact with individuals who have pulled this cosplay off at
the WIN level before for ideas. And to bounce it off anyone
interested, after seeing a certain food-inspired group at MegaCon,
Alice and myself have mulled the idea of a musical skit at MetroCon to
match with our characters and possibly the infamous Rickroll.
Congrats to everyone who was there and come MetroCon, even if we
cannot "win", let make certain we win by ensuring that they remember
Repaint Doll!!

Side note: I realize that some of our inactive members are
geographically handicapped so far as active participation, but any
ideas or contributions toward the MetroCon theme will be welcomed
whole heartedly via the forum. If you want to travel and join us in
June - go for it!!
