Will Congress Act  by then ?

Doesn't look good. Senate will pass, but House not likely in time.

IF YOU CAN NOT ATTEND, GET A BROTHER, A SISTER, A MOTHER, A FATHER, a SON, DAUGHTER, A FRIEND to COME IN YOUR PLACE.

We are fighting the privatization & elimination of the Postal Unions.

We are fighting to save jobs, cuts in pay, cuts in retirement, cuts in health care.

There is moratorium on the closing of Post Offices that ends May if Congress fails to act.

There are 10 Post Offices in Baltimore that may be closed.

Waverly,

Walbrook,

Carroll,

Franklin,

Clifton/East End

Hamilton

Towson Center

The Post Master General wants to:

Close across the country almost 4,000 Post offices in poor inner city or rural areas.

252 out 469 Mail Sorting Facilities to be closed.

Forcibly to retire 120,000 workers.

Layoff 100,00 workers.

Eliminate Saturday Delivery.

There is more, but I think you get the picture.

What’s its all about ?

PRIVITIZATION  ! ! !

Our May Day Rally will be in front of the Main Post Office, 900 E. Fayette St for 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

Then we will be marching to the inner harbor to Mckeldin to be the at about 5:20 PM or so.

To encourage participation we will be giving away a  Free Commemorative T-Shirt “ while supplies last.

How does our struggle relate to may day ?

I guess you could say this is one of the biggest struggles Unions have faced in the last 50 or maybe 100 years.

I believe we are the biggest unions left in the country. If they take the postal workers unions down, the smaller unions will be easy to eliminate.

Will any unions be left ?
