ok, to me this was an awesome frickin movie i have to own. course i
haven't read any of the books. John is an extraordinary teen, masking
his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to
elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. Three like him have
already been killed ... he is Number Four.

i'm not a fan of olyphant but he was bareable in this. (yes i loved
hitman but he almosted ruined it for me if i wasn't such a fan of the
game). alex pettyfer i've never really paid attention to in the past.
apparently hes' the one in beastly so maybe i'll have to see that
cause he did a really good job in this. stuck to character (which
seems to be rare in a script and/or director these days). don't know
mcauliffe either but i thought he did a really good job to and
judgeing by the stuff i saw on the internet he did an even better job
because to me he totally made his roll believeable and was suprised to
see him looking like such a cocky prick in his pictures. also i
watched the features and they had a thing on teresa palmer. i have new
respect for her and she did an awesome job because the character she
plays is so different than she was in real life. also all the training
and self stunts that she did, but didn't have too, she deserves how
good she looks on the screen.

this movie has awesome effects and fights (the best were with palmer).
i can't wait to see more and i've got to buy this one for my
collection. i would give it 5 stars!

I'm going to have to part ways with you on this one. I felt like it
was very generic and underdeveloped. Case in point, when "John" (the
main guy) first starts to discover his powers, Henri (Olyphant) tells
him that over time he will learn to control them, etc. ... but then,
literally within minutes, John walks outside and tests things out and
basically gets it all down pat. I feel like most of the movie was
like that -- just moving too quickly and shallowly, mostly to
accommodate action sequences without worrying so much about how
meaningful or deep of a story was behind it.

That's me. Maybe it was my mood.

is told by Henri (Olyphant) that he has powers
