Lots of lovely bright displays, including a wool section,Fall will be here before we know it,And all the latest Kaffe Fassett designs.I was tempted but I resisted. Judy bought some fun fabrics. ( I have been told she has already stitched with some of them)And then we got back on the road. We drove home via Lake Geneva where we stopped for dinner, avoiding the construction zones and allowing us even more time to catch up on all the latest news!!
That was Wednesday. On Friday I was back in the car heading north again. This time Steve was with me. We enjoyed a lovely weekend with James and Sarah in Chippewa Falls. Not sure what happened with the plan to take pictures but here are Steve and James with the children.
We, the undersigned, are deeply saddened and outraged by the tragic and preventable death of Chiku, a defenseless puppy who fell victim to the reckless and callous behavior of some individuals on our roads. Chiku's story is not an isolated incident; countless street dogs suffer similar fates every day due to over speeding vehicles and hit-and-run accidents.It is unacceptable that innocent animals like Chiku are left to suffer and die in agony on our streets.
With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking story of Baby Chiku, a tender soul who graced our lives with innocence and joy for a fleeting moment. At just three months old, Baby Chiku embodied the purest essence of youth, his playful spirit a testament to the boundless potential that lay ahead.
In the short time he spent in our care, Baby Chiku became more than just a pet; he became a cherished member of our family, his tiny paws leaving an indelible imprint on our hearts. We watched in awe as he explored the world with wide-eyed wonder, his curiosity a source of endless delight.
Yet, before Baby Chiku could fully experience the wonders of life, tragedy struck with unforgiving cruelty. A speeding vehicle, oblivious to the precious cargo it carried, tore him away from us in a moment of heart-stopping horror. In the blink of an eye, our hopes and dreams for Baby Chiku were shattered, replaced by an overwhelming sense of grief and loss.
As we cradled his lifeless body in our arms, we were consumed by a profound sense of injustice. How could such a vibrant and innocent life be extinguished so senselessly? How many more innocent souls like Baby Chiku must fall victim to the dangers that lurk on our roads?
In honor of Baby Chiku's memory and the countless other young lives lost to road accidents, we implore the authorities to take urgent action to make our streets safer for our youngest companions. Let Baby Chiku's untimely death serve as a wake-up call to all who have the power to effect change.

his compact CAFE is on the Kanakapura road but prior to reaching kanakapura. parking available and good seatings available. Menu options are limited though. Service is quick and food is tasty. People looking for a drive with family and pick up some decent bites can halt here and enjoy foodamidst green surroundings. Take some photographs with Chikkootress as backdrop.
