I haven't gotten any feedback on this. What are people's thoughts?

If we'd rather meet this month, we can still do that, though it's probably too late for a bulletin announcement this Sunday.

I think it would make more sense to provide a display for this event
and get some new names of interested people before planning another
meeting. Aside from a brief description of Renovo and a signup sheet,
does anyone have other ideas for informational materials?

After getting more names, we could start planning a meeting for early-
mid January. How does this sound?

We put an blurb in the bulletin that asks people to subscribe to
google groups. Are you two going to be at the ministry faire?

Kristin,

The ministry fair will be unmanned. Here's the latest info I've gotten from Clark:

The fair will have a personal connection for each idea. I’m really having  an idea or opportunity displayed  without a person to talk to about it. So, we can make a flyers and such, but I’d actually like there to be a display that depicts the ministry, explains the mission and provides information (flyers) offering pathways to get plugged in. If you want to put that together you’re welcome to have a place. Jesse or rather Karissa (a volunteer helper for the fair) could make the actual flyers but would need precise and detailed text/information that you want on the flyers. You’d be on your own for table display stuff however.
Can a few of us quickly come up with some visual display ideas? I can take care of the flyers.

Clark just pointed out an important typo in his previous message. It turns out we do need at least one person at the table:

The first sentence of the second paragraph says “I’m really having an idea or opportunity displayed without a person to talk about it.” I left out the word “not”. As in, “I’m NOT really having...” That means, each display needs a person to be there to answer questions. Can you insure that at your table?

It would be good if we could rotate services. I can do one or two services, but I'd like to attend one. Who else can help out?

I will have some flyers and signup sheets printed, but we have no visual display. I was hoping for some creative help with that.

I'll look for them tomorrow in the coffee supply cabinet. Beth has now told me that we need to take back responsibility for putting them out on Sunday mornings.

For the ministry fair, I can also put out some Radio Bible Class pamphlets on caring for creation, along with copies of the curriculum for the School of Theology class that I just taught.

I don’t mind putting g them out when I get there for the 9am service but without a note or something saying what they are and what they are for I think it’s pointless to have them sitting there!

Just a card that says something like:

:need a reminder to bring your travel mug? Take one of these for your car

Joanna,

Thanks for offering to do this. (I'm not often at the 9:00 service, but I plan to be at all 3 for the relational investing fair next Sunday.) Can you also make a card to go with the stickers? Maybe it should be laminated. It would be great to have for our display.

Can someone who usually attends the 12:00 service take charge of making sure the stickers (and card) are put away each Sunday?

The ministry fair never happened due to weather. If we want to
schedule a meeting, someone else will have to take the lead. For the
foreseeable future, I'll be devoting my time and energy to launching
an urgently needed pro-life ministry at Imago Dei. I don't think I can
keep trying to lead Renovo at the same time.
