Hi,

I want to thank the DM Rehabber's Club - particularly Steve Wilke-Shapiro and Todd Hotchkiss for the "Nature's Miracle" recommendation. I not only bought some of the cat specific forumula and used it on my basement cat smell, but also bought the all-purpose formula which has cut that urine smell on my upholstery and deflected any repeat marking offenses by my male dog.

So far so good! The true test will be when I have non-pet owner people in my house and whether they can smell anything or not - because I sure can't.

Thank you thank you thank you again!

-Sarah

I read a little question and answer piece in a newspaper that you all might be interested in.  Question: "How do I get rid of cat urine smell in my house."  Answer: "Burn your house down."  There was a little drawing of a cat sitting out on the sidewalk watching his (your) house go up in flame.    Kris...@aol.com

Hi Steve - We bought a house which was previously owned by the
original "Cat Lady".  It reeked of cat urine - everywhere, carpets,
wood floors, stairways.  About the only place it didnt reek of cat pee
was in the basement.  We pulled all the carpets and hauled them off to
the dump.  They could smell us coming before we hit the gates!

Then we did the Nature's Miracle - take care NOT to use any cleaning
agents before using the Nature's Miracle, the enzymes won't work!  We
did go through gallons, and resprayed all the areas being sure to
saturate.  After the third spray there was no more cat pee smell.

And it hasnt come back.  We did repaint the walls and woodwork, and
did refinish the floors, sealing with poly.  But even in damp or humid
weather we cant detect even a whiff of cat.  Wahoo!!  nose plugs no
more.

Seriously - the bottom line is it works.  Just be sure to follow
directions.

Good luck

Has anyone tried this on carpet?

I did try the Urine destroyer and it seems to be working – even tho I have had to do this twice to get it all and I did it on carpet not basement floor.  It has worked the best of anything I have tried without having to have a steam cleaner come in.

Thank you,

Yes, it works on carpet, you just have to take paper towels and wipe up
any solids, don't put any other cleaner on it, and then spray it on, let
it dry, repeat again and again until you don't smell it any more... this
stuff is really a miracle!
