That pre-event is not a Reno Collective event. They have no idea what they are doing and the terms and conditions for the hackathon are ridiculous.

I'll be at Reno Collective tonight.

Hello! I notice that there is a pre-Hackathon social event co-sponsored by
The Reno Collective occurring at the same time as our monthly meeting. I
was wondering if people were still planning to attend this month's meeting.

As a matter of fact, I was trying to decide which of these Reno Collective
events I should attend this week. Last month's Reno.rb meeting was
refreshingly active and engaging, but I confess to being morbidly
interested in Microsoft Licensing's Hackathon pre-event.

With apologies, I do believe I'll be going to the pre-event. More info here:

    http://renohackathon.com/sample-page-2/event-info/

Don't let the URI scare you. It's the actual info.

I, for one, have no interest in using Microsoft technologies to build
    anything.

I will be at Reno Collective.

I'll be there for reno.rb. I looked into the MS hackathon and found the technology and terms they put on the participants to be too onerous.

Anyone have something they'd like to go over tonight?

    Don,

I had similar concerns about the MSLI Hackathon, too, and was hoping they
might be addressed tonight at their pre-event tonight.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback.  For me it's that my Mac doesn't have 20GB to spare on the I-wish-I-had-bought-a-larger-solid-state-drive, especially if that precious space is going to be used to dual boot into Windows 8.  I have to admit though, free beer made for a compelling argument.  See you at the Reno Collective tonight.
