Only those certificates issued by the concerned Sports /Federations / Associations as properly signed in ink by atleast one of the office bearers of the respective Sports federation / Associations. The applicants shall be interviewed and may also be given field test9s) in the discipline(s) concerned to ascertain the genuineness of the testionial(s)/ certificate(s) which they produce in suport of thier claim(s), to make the grading of the candidate(s) not merely on the basis of the certificate(s) but after due examination and verification.
4. The Director Sports, Chandigarh Administration, or his nominee, not below the rank of Joint Director Sprots will issue the certificate and also have the authority to cancel any certificate at any time, if it is found to have been issued on false / incorrect / concealed informatin or record.
5. Sports Gradation will be used for admission in Colelges / Professional Colleges but the Director Sports or his nominee as aforementioned shall not be made party in case of non acceptance of the certificate(s) by teh admitting authority.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will hold exams for students engaged in national or international sports events and international Olympiads at a later date, instead of the scheduled date for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams for the year 2024 in February-March. The initiative aims to support sports and educational competitions for young individuals.
The CBSE has outlined that these special exams will accommodate students whose exam dates coincide with their participation in national and international sports events, as well as international Olympiads, including travel dates for these events in 2024.
To be eligible for these special exams, the sports must be recognised by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), while the Olympiads must be acknowledged by the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE).
To apply for the special exams, schools are required to submit applications to the relevant regional office by December 31, along with recommendations from the Sports Authority of India and the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, respectively. Additionally, students must obtain a certificate of participation from the designated officers of the relevant organisations.
Objectives
The objective of school sports is the enrichment of the high school experiences of students within the context of the educational mission of schools. As such, school sports should be educational and contribute to the overall education of all students, not athletes only.
Other objectives of school sports is to cultivate citizenship, sportsmanship, fair play, teamwork, respect, and health and welfare of all students not only during the school years but continuing into adulthood.
CBSE Sports Registration 2023-24 has been started by the Central Board of Secondary Education of the country in which players of the country between 11 years to 19 years can participate. The state sports council will award certificates to first second and third prize winners and team championship will be decided section-wise on the basis of points. Overall championship will also be declared.
The state has over 1,300 CBSE schools and 162 schools affiliated to CISCE besides 41 Kendriya Vidyalayas and 14 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. The inaugural edition of the sports meet, held in 2018, could not be held after that due to certain technical issues.
At present, students of institutions affiliated to national boards take part in school and cluster-level competitions and only top performers at.the cluster level are considered for the competitions at the national level. The state general education department conducts a sports meet up to the state level but it is confined only to students from schools following the state syllabus.
