Hi,

I am pleased to let you know that I just released version 1.2.4 of Ride (an IDE for analysis and package development etc. for Renjin).

Highlights include
- Improved SVG handling
- Support for javascript code
- Enhanced interactive options through the rideutils package
- Enhancements to code completion
- Improvements to console output for things like str() which looked ugly before

Ride can be downloaded and installed from here:

Best regards,
Per

Nice, Per!!

I tried to download the dist zip and unpack on my linux machine. When I run ./ride.sh I get the following error:
Error: Could not find or load main class se.alipsa.ride.splash.SplashScreen
Error: Could not find or load main class se.alipsa.ride.Ride

Maybe the ride-1.2.4.jar is not included in the script's classpath?

Best,
Alex

I just double checked on my windows machine. ride.sh runs fine from git bash and ride.cmd runs fine from cmd prompt.
on centos 7 i did:
1. mkdir ride && cd ride
3. unzip ride-1.2.4-GA-dist.zip
4. ./ride.sh

No problems there either.

The ride-1.2.4.jar should be in your installation dir next to where the ride.sh is. If it is not there then maybe something went wrong with the unzip? Note that the zip does not contain an initial dir so if you unzipped and then moved the files maybe you missed it?

Best regards,
Per
