Sowe highly recommend you extend the partition that you will install Viber on. MiniTool Partition Wizard can help you extend partitions to even non-contiguous free space easily. Moreover, this powerful partition software can also migrate OS to SSD, convert MBR to GPT without data loss, recover lost data, rebuild MBR, etc.

Step 1. Run MiniTool Partition Wizard to enter its main interface, select the partition you want to install Viber on, and click on Extend Partition from the left pane.

Step 2. Click on the Check for updates button to scan for the latest updates. If there are any available Windows updates, install them. After that, you can restart your system and see if the Viber not installing on Windows 11/10 problem gets fixed.

Sometimes your antivirus software and even Windows firewall can block Viber from installing on PC. If you still cannot install Viber on Windows 11/10, try allowing the installation through your firewall and antivirus software.

Some users from the answers.microsoft.com forum reported that Viber not installing on Windows 11/10 can be solved by adding the update.viber.com line to the Windows hosts file. It may seem strange but worth trying.

my viber history got corrupted, but luckily i have backedup the important conversation i needed into text format using (backup text for viber). it might have been the reason that corrupted the history since it got corrupted right after i backedup that one conversation.

the problem is the audio files are there in the viber media, but they have no extension, and i can't open them, i tried every program possible but i couldn't find a way to do it. is there a way to be able to open them on pc or phone?

I found only a single thing which looks weird: `aur/viber` runs with a shocking white window border, which looks really out of place for my dark Gnome theme. I suspect it's because a Qt app, but it worked correctly running the same setup on Xorg, and I don't really understand how the window manager theme can be different for a Qt app. To show a picture of the issue: - my terminal looks as expected, viber looks completely out of place.

Remote working has become an integral part of many people's professional lives these days. Communication with colleagues and clients on a remote desktop plays a key role in maintaining efficiency and productivity. One of the most popular messengers that provides excellent communication and collaboration options for remote desktop is Viber. In this article, we will look at how to install Viber on remote desktop.

If you have already used Viber on your mobile device, the app will prompt you to synchronize your contacts and messages.

After successful installation and authorization, you are ready to start communicating with colleagues and clients via Viber on your remote desktop.

Using Viber messenger on your remote desktop provides a convenient and efficient way to communicate, which promotes collaboration and productivity. Install Viber on your desktop right now and enjoy the benefits of modern virtual communication.

The remote desktop protocol is an approach to accessing windows from a remote area without really accessing your device from its actual location. Moreover, the users using the remote desktop protocol can utilize their windows platform anytime and any place they want. The remote desktop protocol is a product from Microsoft Corporation. The protocol came in to deliver the windows server at residence. Using the remote desktop protocol is easy. It is as comfortable as hitting an icon to control your Windows from any other external computer or smart device. The remote desktop control also enables you to share the mouse and keyboard activity with the remote device. Users accessing the remote desktop control can access the Windows/ computer as if they are working on the same computer. It creates an exact ditto environment to work on. The significance of RDP has made it popular among users.

The forensic investigation of this messaging application is extremely straight forward, as all the information are stored in a single SQLite database named viber.db along with other db and config files. This file is located under AppData Roaming on Windows. The full path will follow this structure:

Please note that the phone number neither includes a + nor 00 for the country code, for the US this would be just 1. Once located, the file can easily be loaded into a SQL lite browser of your choice. I was using DB Browser for SQLite, but pretty much any software such as DBeaver or HeidiSQL would do.

In the current version (14.6.0), the database consists out of 15 tables, which are most interlinked through an events table (click on the image to make it bigger or open in a new tab). From a digital forensics perspective, the most interesting ones are undoubtedly the messages, calls and the contact tables as these might hold some potential evidence about the case you are inspecting.

This was a really fun little project, as it allowed me to play around with a previously unknown messenger and do some investigative work. Seeing that all messages can be synced in there entirety and stored in an unencrypted format, makes it an extremely interesting target for any forensic investigation. Even though this post could only scratch the surface of the data stored in the SQLite database, due the limited time which I could spend on this project, it should be enough to get your own investigation started. I hope this post is also useful for your own forensic investigation.

Hey, I let Viber set itself to start automatically on startup. The problem is that I cannot undo that. I can't find a list or utility in my Mac Book Pro or in Viber to stop automatic startup of Viber. Help!

I wasn't able to complete the registration with Viber because I'm in US temporarily at the moment and my cellphone is disabled. Will it be easier to disable automatic startup of Viber when I get home (to Ireland). I can't even use Viber - it's not displaying the sidebar so I can't put on a contact. Help!

In that case, open a Finder window, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type /Library/StartupItems. Search for Viber files and delete them. This folder contains the files of all applications that start up automatically when you start up the computer, so you have a bigger control than from "Users & Groups" pane

Eee, I did all that, and even restared the computer, but when I downloaded the Viber programme and copied it to the applications area (inside Finder), I could no longer find viber either in downloads or in Launchpad. I even restarted againm, to no avail. So it seems to be invisible after reloading the programme.

Oh, Viber appears to be in Apps now, with a dml ending, so I double clicked, and it allowed me to transfer to Apps by that in-window drag. Now Viber's installed again. I'll try and work it in a few days when I can use my phone, though I suspect I'll have trouble as it's an employer phone and you can't install much on it.

I am also having this problem and have been through all the steps advised to find the same problems. Viber is hidden away at every turn. I did find that within the application itself you can go to Viber>Preferences and there is an option to "Start Viber on system startup" Which seemed like the obvious fix at last. But appaerntly unchecking this doesn't solve the problem either?! So I am lost for ideas. Can anyone help?
