to Historically Influenced Renaissance Garbing
This group was set up for those interested in creating historically
influenced or accurate garb for faires, festivals, wedding, or other
events, and to offer a place to discuss those projects freely.
Constructive criticism is the key to advancing our talents in sewing,
and garbing. Snarking is not allowed, but good ideas and suggestions
will always be welcome. All levels of experience are welcomed, as this
is a place of learning.

How are we defining "renaissance" for the purposes of this group?
Anything you could wear to a Renaissance Faire or Festival, from
medieval, to say, around 1625 or so. We aren't going to be really
strict about a cut off date. And if you want to make a ST:TNG inspired
noble's gown, share it with us!

We will have an area for critiques of your work: Be prepared when you
offer your work up for discussion. You may receive suggestions and
opinions that you may not agree with. Take what you want from the
discussion, and keep an open mind by not dismissing other opinions out
of hand. NO PERSONAL ATTACKS WILL BE ALLOWED.

I haven't set up a google group before, so I am not sure exactly what
members of this group will be allowed to do. Right now, we can post
files and photos, and have discussions. I will draw up some guidelines
as to allowable file sizes for images, but for now, let's start with
seeing how people will use this group, and decide where to go from
there.

Enjoy!
