Thanks to all of you, serious momentum is building for Complete Streets at the Capitol! But now I need one small step that makes a big difference. I need you to let your legislators know that you support Complete Streets (if you haven’t already)! The bill has been introduced, and will be in committee as early as next Tuesday! So, the time is now!!

 

Three easy and quick steps:

1. Contact your State Representative and State Senator using this online tool. The best is a phone message followed by an e-mail or a letter. If you choose just one, send an e-mail to ensure that your personal message makes it through.
2. Personalize your message, stay positive, focus on safety, and make sure to add a brief story of why Complete Streets is important to you. See below for a sample e-mail message. You can also check out the summary of the bill for more details.
3. Please let us know if you take action by filling out this simple form! We want to make sure that we are reaching all parts of the state.

Right now, the busy road 2 blocks from my house is just not safe for my kids and I won’t even think about trying to cross it. We like to stay active and a safe walk to school with the kids would make all of our lives healthier and happier.
