Touch is not working even with stock rom(JB is not better either)-MID 7" Chinese tablet(NEC Renesas)

Hi there people,

I'm bought this tablet a while back, when 2.3 was a new thing. It came with android 2.2(and was my first android device). After
a total of 10 hours(less than a week) the touch screen became unresponsive and didn't work again.

I've tried so many rom, God only knows how hard I've tried. I've tried one 2.3.5 rom and soft keys started to work(with touch screen dead soft keys stopped working too).

I even open the tablet and disconnect-reconnect in case it was something in the H/W, nothing. Recently I've put this JB rom to check if it helps me but still nothing -
this time soft keys are also dead!

The problem with this is that when I try to enter the build-in recovery menu ..it doesn't exist anymore! instead if I press minus(-) and power it gets me to a "safe mode"
condition BUT the damn touch screen is not working anyway so it's next to nothing.

Anyone know what to do to bring back the stock recovery.. or help me out bring touch to life? (in the bad things I did manage to give away the OTG cable so I cannot connect a mouse or a keyboard to work around and when I tried to buy some OTG mini usb to female usb ..I was unlucky and found no one to work with (I've got 2-3
OTG adaptors and 2-3 OTG cable-adaptors none of which are working).

I'll appriciate any help as I've got this tablet which is brand new and have it quite some time(more than a few years, just sitting around and waiting for me to find a solution
to this).

Hi - I'm not sure why the touch should suddenly stop working, without any physical damage. I noticed the flat cable connecting it being very sensitive to breaking, as it's squeezed between the screen and the board, when the device is assembled. Plugging/unplugging and bending it might have also damaged it even more... It happened to mine already...
I hope it's not the case for yours, but if re-loading the stock 2.3.5 didn't help I'm afraid there's little we can do to fix it.
Do you have a chance to solder a serial console cable, as described here:
