I downloaded the file to install I newer test build of JB, but i tried with both vol buttons and i cant get into the yellow recovery I used to install the Roms,

I´m using the 4.1.2 jb
the great build  JZO54K.I9070XXLPY - by ffxx68
KERNEL ffxx68@ubuntu #165
SMP PREEMPT wed jun 12 21:49:11 cest 2013

I tried the reset on the back,
I also tried via adb with  "adb reboot recovery"
also via android terminal on tablet, with "su" and then "reboot recovery",  but all i can see is a black screen.  :(

Maybe I must flash the recovery again.
I have adb access when the tablet is on normal mode, but not when the recovery fails,

Would any of you have the recovery image and the commands I should put in?

I ´m a linux/win/mac user but not a developer. So, any help is happily welcome.

yeah, the rena It´s a good tablet but with bad android implementation.
but I really like it.

HI Marshel,

I had deleted your previous post by mistake, sorry! Luckily I had this copy...

Anyway, yes, the SD card boot could be apossible test. I had also published a tutorial on how to build a bootable Sd card (largely originated from the discussion you have linked):

https://github.com/Renesas-EMEV2/Documentation/blob/emev-4.1/Bootloader.md  (Preparing a "bootable" SD card)
https://github.com/Renesas-EMEV2/Bootloader/tree/emev-4.1/testsd  (scripts here)

but the complete procedure requires a build env ready. I momentarly have no time to set the build up, so you could give the procedure you have linked a try.

Try using the uboot binaries from the link you have posted and the uImage4 from my latest JB build. The Android fs needs a tiny hack, as explained in my tutorial. I can't guarantee the success of this "mix"...

Anyway, I don't see why you can't make it to the yellow upgrade screen... I have tested my latest build on my tablet, with a 2Gb SD card. Are you using a large SD card (i.e. > 2Gb)? Try re-formatting to 2Gb...

Sorry, I got to travel for some weeks and I could not do it yet.

I will try this weekend with another microSD. I promise.

I get to the update today, was a Pain because I had to partition the 4gb SDHC card for a 2gb FAT partition and I had tryed on windows with failure.

Luckily enough, on my work we have a Mac. I partitioned and got some error but I could later format it on windows.

With the power + vol.plus (the most close button of power) I entered recover, wiped everything and flashed the update.
Now I´m waiting the reboot, and at night I will try the HDMI.

best regards.
