SUBJECT: Clean Up the World Activity Report 2008 – Available Now
Dear Yonglong from Shanghai Rendu Management Consulting Co., Ltd,
Thank you for your participation in Clean Up the World in 2008.
Our team is pleased to advise that the Clean Up the World Activity Report 2008 is available for viewing and downloading in English at: http://activities.cleanuptheworld.org/?1096/876/
This report will be officially launched today on World Environment Day here in Sydney. Your group may wish to promote its release in local newsletters, websites and media. Please do so on or following June 5.
Importantly, please share this report and link with your group, volunteers and supporters and allow us to join you in congratulating them on their contribution to the global campaign last year and encouraging them to participate again this year. It contains a message by our Founder, Ian Kiernan AO of which part says;
“…What we hear from so many of you is that your participation in Clean Up the World helps you overcome (any) difficulties and enables your community to create a space where people can come together for a common purpose – the improvement of the environment – and feel proud of what they have achieved together, for themselves and for future generations.”
“It’s hearing that from you which inspires me to continue my work on behalf of Clean Up the World and the environment. I hope it inspires you to continue the activities and projects contained in this Activity Report. We look forward to welcoming you as part of the 2009 campaign.”
A special thanks goes to you, who in your role as contact person for your group provides such a valuable link between Clean Up the World and your group. We greatly appreciate your efforts to support and promote participation in the campaign in your communities and to provide feedback to us of your activities – especially if you completed the Member Activity Report.
And on behalf of all Clean Up the World participants we would like to thank our 2008 Partners without which the campaign simply would not be able to operate - The United Nations Environment Programme, Brambles, Google Inc, National Geographic Channels International, Qantas, the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Armor and Marriott International, Inc.
2008 was indeed an incredible year for Clean Up the World but with your ongoing support and participation – 2009 will be even greater.
All the best for World Environment Day,
The Clean Up the World team
