Rendezfoods Eatups: Blue Crab Boil and Dogfish Head Handcrafted Ales Tasting Dinner

Greetings, foodlings!

We are excited to announce two new Rendezfoods eatups coming up within a month's time:
  1. Tuesday, August 30, 9:30 pm: Crab Boil at Back Forty (Ave B and 10th St) $40 for a mountain of Old Bay-spiced, beer boiled Maryland Blue Claw Crab served with cornebread, corn-on-the-cob, new potatoes, and string beans. There are only 4 seats left for the 9:30 pm seating.
  2. Wednesday, September 21, 9 pm"Asians Love Dog ... fish Head Ales" at Manchester Pub (2nd Ave at 49th St) $75 gets you 5 glasses of the very special Dogfish Head Handcrafted Ales paired with 5 courses of Asian comfort food prepared by Chef Connie Sun of Bite Size Kitchen. We have reserved 6 seats for Rendezfoods until 5 pm on Monday, August 29th!

Make sure you select the 9:30 pm seating and let me know if you succeed so we can add you to our table.

To buy tickets for the Dogfish Brewery beer pairing dinner, e-mail Lawrence (lawr...@manchesterpubnyc.com) and tell him you're with Rendezfoods for the 9 pm seating BEFORE 5 pm on Monday, Aug 29. Due to high demand, ManPub will be asking for a credit card reservation with a cancellation fee of $10 per person for any no-shows or cancellations less than 48 hours in advance.

If you can't make it at the dates/times that RF will be eating up, Back Forty just announced they're doing the crab boil 4 days in a row as a last shebang this summer, and there is an additional 6:30 pm seating for the Dogfish Head beer dinner.

The beer pairing dinner will feature beers of Dogfish Head being paired with the comfort-Asian style cuisine of Chef Connie Sun of Bite Size Kitchen, hence our theme "Asians Love Dog ... fish head ales." This dinner will feature rarities from Dogfish's collection, including the Sah'teaMy Antonia and Theobroma. The preliminary menu and pairing can be found here:
