I tried all known settings for the APN. Here the link to the settings for my SIM-Provider (in german) -richte-ich-das-mediapad-ein-um-mit-der-prosieben-sim-karte-zu-surfen
I never got a Internetconnection.
Hi Simon,
I would suggest the next step is for you tolog a ticketwith engineering.
They will be able to review the diagnostic file and see if there is any indication as to the cause of the problem there.
The APN (Access Point Name) settings need to be correctly set up on your phone, tablet or modem to access the internet on the Vodafone network. This includes sending and receiving picture messages and emails on your device.
I have a number of Deco M5's, from V1 to V3.2. I've recently had Vodafone's Gigafast 900MBps fibre installed and was looking to try and bypass the Vodafone router and instead use the Deco to connect directly to the network.
I contacted Vodafone and have the username and password, but when trying it with the PPPoE settings, it does not connect. I just get a red light. I've seen a mention of a VLAN ID of 911, and so I have tried that against the VLAN and IPTV settings and neither works when set to that.
It doesn't seem to get any sort of IP address or anything. Just fails continuously. As soon as I put the cables back into the vodafone router and link that back through to my Deco.... it comes back to life.
So, what I have done this morning is speak with Vodafone again, via Live Chat, to verify the details I was sent yesterday via SMS when I spoke to them on the phone. They do match (although the support agent gave them to me in COMPLETELY the wrong order/format).
I re-entered the user/pass in Deco under the PPPoE settings, I setup the VLAN 911 with priority 0 (as numerous people mention) under the VLAN ID, leaving IPTV disabled (is there anything I need to do here??). That didn't work, so then I did the MAC address cloning, entering the MAC matches that on the bottom of the router... that still did nothing.
I'm really struggling here and unsure what is going on. I couldn't get the credentials to work on my desktop PC when putting the WAN cable directly into my desktop either.... I set the user/pass and it wouldn't connect.
Vodafone Idea (Vi) offers various 4G prepaid and postpaid plans across the country with multiple benefits. Vodafone Idea (Vi) provides high-speed 4G internet, however, you might have experienced slow speeds or no internet connection, particularly when shifting to a new smartphone.
This can happen if your new smartphone does not have the Vi APN settings required to connect to the internet. To use the 4G internet smoothly on your device, you need to set APN settings. If you do not have Vi APN settings or do not know how you can set it on your phone, here are the steps you need to follow.
The Vodafone Idea 4G speed could be slow due to many factors and one of the most common ones is the wrong or outdated Vi APN settings. So, you can refer to above steps to get the latest APN settings for fast and high-speed internet.
Setting up the Access Point Name (APN) on your Android device is essential for connecting to the internet and sending/receiving multimedia messages (MMS) on the Vodafone network. The APN settings act as a bridge between your device and the Vodafone network, allowing for seamless communication. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to configure your APN settings for Android on the Vodafone network.
By following these steps, you can easily configure the APN settings on your Android device for the Vodafone network. If you encounter any issues, reach out to Vodafone customer support for assistance.
Global reach and massive scale: Covers more than 230 countries and regions, cooperates with more than 700 global telecom partners, and supports transactional and high-volume messaging services.
Highly stable and secure: Provides advanced encryption technology to ensure the security of your communications and supplies multi-mobile carriers that can be intelligently dispatched to maintain stability.
If changing the APN settings of your Vodafone Idea SIM does not help you with your internet troubles, it is best to shift to the default APN settings provided by the carrier. You can follow the above-mentioned steps for the same but instead of adding a new APN setting, tap on the option to reset to default settings and restart your phone. Your issue will be resolved.
Samsung devices can configure the APN (Access Point Name) settings automatically depending on the SIM card. You may see a pop-up message during the Setup wizard in the first boot up the SIM card was freshly inserted on the device and the APN is not set yet.
If the incorrect network or wrong APN settings are set, you will not be able to use the internet through the data network and so on.
Samsung sets the provider's APN on its software so if the internet does not work upon setting up the APN from the configuration message of the service provider, then you can still reset it with the default one set and tested by Samsung.
In the last two weeks, since Jan's security update, my S22 Ultra 5G is presenting a very poor mobile reception. It constantly swaps between 5G and 4G. During the swap, the device loses the internet connection. In the past, my solution is to change the network setting to 4G but now, the device is even unable to stay at 4G for most of the time. It drops to 3G or H straight away.
I've tried everything I can, including all types of resetting, but the problem persists. I tried to use another sim card which works perfectly on a different device, but the problem remains the same. So I highly suspect this is nothing related to the Vodafone network.
I am having the exact same problem with my S22, i.e. phone will not connect to 5G DATA in Australia, especially after been connected to internet via wifi. Go in to any phone shop and they will tell you so. Only fix is to change to 4G in settings. Given that Samsung sells this phone as a 5G phone I think they need to fix this immediately or offer a full refund. Samsung?
I am sorry I misunderstood your issue. In that case based on what you've described, I recommend for you to head into your nearest authorised service centre with your proof of purchase so that we can take a closer look into this. Please be aware that due to our Privacy Policy, your device may be factory reset before being assessed. I highly recommend backing up your device via Smart Switch, OneDrive and/or Google to ensure none of your data is lost.
If the above Vodafone Internet & MMS APN settings do not work on your Android device, make below changes to Vodafone Internet & MMS APN settings to get Vodafone live! on your Android device.
On Android, APN settings should be entered in correct case. For example, if you are configuring your APN setting with Vodafone Internet & MMS APN settings configuration above, make sure you enter APN as
live.vodafone.com and not as
LIVE.VODAFONE.COM or Live.vodafone.com.If entering Vodafone AU to your Android device, APN should be entered as vfinternet.au and not as VFINTERNET.AU or Vfinternet.au.
