Renaissance Island Upcoming Events

At our meeting we discussed possible dates for our Founder's Ball and
decided to hold the ball on Oct 17th from 5 until 7pm SL. Riel Radio
will host the event. The ball is in honor of our Original Founders
who created Renaissance Island. Please come pay homage to our Honored
Guests and hear how our Lovely Island came about. Invitations are
forth coming!

We also discussed what great feedback we received from our first Story
Telling Time held Sept 25th at the Rose and Crown. We heard quite a
few interesting facts about some of our own parish residents and a few
ballards to make one blush. Our next Session will be Oct 9th at 5pm
SL

We have been discussing for some time now, how our beautiful Globe
yearns for a play. Korrigan, Zanzibar, Boudicca and Dean will be
rehearsing a scene or two on Oct 3rd at 4pm SL and invite anyone who
would like to partake whether to watch or join in to come.

All Hallow's Eve will be here before you know it. We are going to
host a dance and scavenger hunt this eve (Oct 31st) starting around
5pm SL. Please mark your calendar to celebrate Tudor Style!

A gentle reminder to all who have items on our Island. Objects need
be set to "Tenants Of Reading Primely". We will be turning on Auto
return and do not want to lose your items because they are not set to
the correct group. Please contact one of the managers if you need
assistance to set your group.

We now have a visitor alert placed on our Island. It will alert those
that have the hud to a visitor on the island. Currently our managers
all wear one and are greeting those when they come. If we have some
tenants who could also become greeters, please contact Princej3rd
Figaro, Adar Merlin, or Diamond Coronet for schedule and hud. This
device allows greeters to handle other projects and be on other sims
if no one is about. It will alert you when someone comes onto the
island so you may TP over to greet.

We have been placed on rotation for En Guarde Tournaments. We will
host next Dec 13th. Anyone interested in information about En Guarde
group or joining tourney for the day, please contact Adar Merlin.

We are trying to form a Joust Workshop to meet once a week to practice
jousting and prepare for tournements. Please contact Adar Merlin if
you are interestd in taking the class or host as teacher for a
session.

We invite anyone who is interested in joining projects, committees
or just collaborate ideas to join our weekly meetings every Sunday.
We have recently moved the time to 5pm SL but would be open for
earlier meets for those interested in other time zones if we are
