TULSA - Police say they have busted a marijuana growing operation in
an area of east Tulsa County known as New Tulsa.
Tulsa Police Department spokesman Jason Willingham says that officers,
including undercover detectives, found the illegal farming operation
in a home located at 20747 E. 31st Place.
Willingham tells 2NEWS that the growers were using the hydroponic
growing method , which basically utilizes nutrient-enriched water
instead of soil as the growing medium.
Police have not said yet how they discovered the alleged pot growing
operation, nor have they named any suspects.
