Patch to resolve issue with format error inside Image.py

Hi,

I've added an catch block for the Exception base class to workaround
an error that was occuring in the player adaptor while retrieving
thumbnails.
I have filed the bug with description and workaround at
http://code.google.com/p/remuco/issues/detail?id=70

I've pushed my changes into my clone of the repo at google code. Can
someone verify the change?
