The server software is designed to automatically set the mic gain to
the proper setting for PSK for DIGI ops and then set it back to
regular level for SSB -- to prevent overdriving the PSK signal. I am
not sure if the DxCommander interface provides the ability for
control of the mic gain?? If you want to run PSK with your radio
(i.e. non Kenwood) I think that you must run the PSK software on the
client side using the SSB mode (and the higher quality and linear
response IRBSound2 VoIP and set the mic gain manually when you go
from SSB to PSK. Not sure how you would do that with your radio since
I do not believe that there is any indication of ALC back to the host
and client??
