Hello REAPI fellows!
I wanted to remind/inform this group that I'm hosting a panel to discuss REAPI v3 at
https://build.meetup where we will have several of our veteran community members talking in broad strokes about the direction we'd like to take the Remote Execution world in the next iteration of our protocol.
The conference is free, and our panel will take place this Thursday at 3pm UTC, and I encourage everyone here to join in, with a special invitation to participate with questions and comments, or even proposing to join us on the panel if you're committed to an idea you want to see.
So far, my roadmap for the discussion will include:
A Brief History of Remote Time - (10 minutes tops)
Implications of a v3 Cut
A (lack of) theme for v3, aside from Backwards Incompatibility
Possible Goals
Fix all the weird things
Drop the redundant interfaces
Standardize outputs
New Interfaces
Action Graph
Server -> Client Content Request Service
New Semantics
More 'Musts' than 'Mays'
Cache Option Standardization
Execution Backpressure and Feedback
But we're in no way limited to just these topics, particularly for those asking questions. Come one come all!
Regards,
