I tried both plugging the HDD into my mobo and putting it in a USB case but i can't seem to get the beta to boot at all. I've tried 32 and 64 bit versions too. The alpha worked fine before on my pc so i don't know what's wrong now

Nope. I stopped trying after a while. Km just going to wait for a stable release
