I have problem with boot my notebook Acer aspire 3690 with procesor Celeron M.

Error: This kernel requires an x86-64 cpu but only detected an i686 cpu.

What can I do?

The Acer Aspire 3690 and 1640 have 32-bit CPUs. The version you're trying to install requires a 64-bit CPU.

I have seen some people in this thread who asked when this will be fixed, it won´t be fixed because it isn't broken.

If you see "Error: This kernel requires an x86-64 cpu but only detected an i686 cpu.", then your PC is designed for the 32-bit architecture, this means that it uses instructions in 32-bit format.
Remix OS is made for the 64-bit architecture, this means that is uses instructions in 64-bit format but also accepts 32-bit format.

64-bit PC's support 64 and 32-bit operating systems and programs.

32-bit PC's support only 32-bit operating systems and programs.

You simply can't install a 64-bit OS on a 32-bit PC, it is impossible.

As far as Remix OS is concerned, you are a user who tried to load a 64-bit OS onto a 32-bit machine while everyone knows that it's incompatible.

You need to either get your hands on a 32-bit OS (as far as i know Remix OS is only 64-bit) OR use a 64-bit computer.
You CANNOT upgrade certain parts of your hardware to get a 64-bit PC, you need a new PC!

The Linux kernel this OS uses is a 64-bit variant, because of the way the entire program is made, there is no physical way to make it run on 32bit systems. Jide can attempt to build a 32-bit binary, but at the moment they don't offer one, without source access, end users will forever be unable to force a 64-bit software into a 32-bit machine. It does not work that way. You either use another pc to test the system or you don't test it at all. Once again, Remix OS uses the x86-64 architecture, not plain x86, it needs a processor capable of 64 bits to work.

Apart from that, even with a 64-bit CPU, there are high probabilities that a PC will not be able to boot Remix because of other incompatibiliies such as USB/GPU/WIFI/ETC...

Requirements has been updated, all is clear now, no love for 32bit. If we want to run android on x86, we need to run original android-x86 project.
