remix os on HP Atom Laptop - hanging from USB2.0

Have an HP laptop with Atom processor, and 1GB of RAM that runs Win7 starter fine. now trying to boot using remix OS 2.0 over the USB and get a single line:

SYSLINUX 4.03 2010-1022 EDD Copyright (c) 1994-2010 H. Peter..

left it like that for 2 days, still no movement..  I don't know the speed of the USB, but why would it matter?  I don't mind things to install slowly, I have a dedicated partition on that hard disk, just need a way to move the remix os bits (install it) to that partition.. 

New OS but not possible to install??  in most marketing/blogs it says "use any old pc", while if it requires usb3.0 that's not any old PC anymore...

Could be a few problems.
Boot issue or kernel or corrupt boot drive.
Is the Atom processor 64bit?
Half are not so the images won't work.
Also check out the 14th of Jan download options if you need UEFI boot.

in bios it says "HP Mini 110-4100" blow Intel Atom cpu n2600 @1.6ghz, which seems to be 64bit based on:

I see images were updated on 14th, not sure if I need UEFI or legacy, will re-try both..  boot options are very limited in the BIOS, no mention of uefi, but it does have several USB Floppy, USB diskette or key, usb hard drive, usb cd/dvd, all are checked ON... and the syslinux did print...

we'll see how the 14th images work out.

I also happen to have a netbook, Acer Aspire One D257 with Intel Atom N570 processor. I tried running the OS but all I could get to was the screen where you select if you want to use it as live OS or resident mode, I select any mode and the netbook reboots

Hi  i had the same problem 

so i formatted again the usb as FAT32 

and write the OS (iso) with win32DiskImager and was able to pass 

the SYSLINUX 4.03

give a try to the 32 bit edition of remix os has better compatibility

Any one tested with Remix OS 32bit with Hp mini 110 netbook? previous i try with 64bit, my windows 10 os corrupted.
