Can Remix OS work in VMs?

Hello!

Does Remix OS work well in VMs like VMware Fusion v8.1 and VirtualBox v5.0.16 in Windows (64-bit 7 EE SP1 & XP Pro SP3), Mac OS X v10.10.5 (Yosemite), and Debian stable (Jessie)?

Probably. From my experience you need to install it on a VM, not by itself

Try installing it on a Windows OS. If the VM can run the installer, you can use it on that VM

I ever installed it in VMware Workstation. But there are two big problems (1) No mouse cursor, and (2) No graphics driver.

For (1), your can turn on mouse input for game purpose in the VMware options. But this seems make my vmware crash. I believe not everyone would meet such experience. Try yourself.

For (2), the display performance might not be as smooth as you think.

Hello all.

I tried it with brand new custom VMs with a couple GB of RAM and mostly default settings.

In a 15" MacBook Pro's Mac OS X v10.10.5 (Yosemite)'s VMware Fusion v8.1.0, I got a blank screen after booting up the ISO file but got to its blank black screen.

In a Lenovo Think Pad W530's 64-bit W7 EE SP1's VirtualBox v5.0.16, I got React OS' glowing cursive title.

Both stayed like this forever, so I assume they got stuck. :(

But I don't use Parallels. Please try VirtualBox. That's free.

I have same problem. No mouse curse. Exactly say,only curse on one point . just right click ok.
I tested alpha and beta version on vmware.

I have not been able to get the ISO file to install in VMware Worksation 12.1.  I got an error about no hard drive partition and not enough memory.  I'll try different settings than VMware recommended to see if that helps; it had identified the OS as FreeBSD.

I tried installing from ISO on VMWare running on Windows 10. Installation was not able to boot. Only live cd version was working with some hickups. It would be SUPER AWESOME if we can install Remix OS on Windows - VMWare or VirtualBox. Awaiting for updates from Remix. I am pretty excited to use Android apps on Windows. Best solution that seem to work is Andy OS android emulator. But Remix OS would be far more awesome as it blends Android to real desktop like environment.
