How to ROOT 32bit version of the Remix OS ?

I have been spending the last days trying to solve this. I'm no dev or programmer but was able to find files for rooting x86 4.4+ but get a garbled screen on reboot and then boot loops. So failing that tried rewriting script to push new su files from very. 2.6.5?... Anyway that didn't work. Then I realized x86 iso from x86 project for Android 5.1.1 rc1 comes prerooted. So mash files and I can see busy box and su in system but suuperuser apk fails to install binary. So I am still trying but no success yet...

Ok rooted now. I'll work on a tutorial if anyone is interested...

Hi Shae. If it works, thanks! There are many apks out there that promise rooting but all they seem to be interested in is transfering files of your sd card and gainning access to your camera. A little bit of advice, look at permissions when adding these apps to your system and yes, there are people who have been trying to root and they are interested --again thanks.

1. After you have installed either to USB or HDD, download the above file and extract. You should have system.img left.
2. Navigate to your HDD or USB and delete system.sfs.
3. Add the system.img to your install - reboot - and let it boot - took me 5 min or so.
4. As it acts as a new install youll be promted with welcome and such again.
6. open apps click SU and choose update binary - use normal install x86 has no recovery.

tested on:

AMD E2 - ASUS K53U - 1.6 MHRZ x 2 - 8GB DDR2 RAM
Samsung 110 GB SSD - AMD Radeon Mobile 6320

Using a dual boot Main partition running Ubuntu Studio LTS -

"unsquashfs.exe can't run because your windows not compatible...."

how to solved this?
