Will remix OS 2.0 have a version 32 bit? is unfair :(

Well, that makes my question about how to create the Remix OS flash image without Windows irrelevant.

Why on Earth would they even make it 64 bit? Most existing netbooks and small laptops that people would be likely to want to try it on are older devices and don't have 64 bit support. They should be encouraging testers to use whatever they have available, not stand in their way.

maybe 32 bit is supported, try modern CPU after 2007 -> especially Intel Atom N

Virtually any machine released in the past four years that has the performance to run Remix OS is 64-bit. Why stand in the way of progress by demanding additional work for a 32-bit build?

If the PC has a 32bit CPU then it is highly probable that it will not meet the USB speeds needed to run the system at all, or even have necessary hardware to support OpenGL ES 2.0. This is a modern OS not a tool to give new life to old hardware,

Remix OS is for everyone, for free

Moreover, Remix OS 2.0 is not restricted to just Jide’s own hardware such as Remix Mini. The OS will be available for everyone to download for free. This means that you can download and install it on any computer.

Remix OS 2.0 supports 32 bit architecture so you can revive your old computer with it.

Let's see:

1. Android apps are written in Java with a 32 bit memory model, and if they have native code components they're 32-bit ARM code.
2. Most mobile devices have 2GB or less of RAM, and 64-bit pointers mean you're wasting memory.
3. If Jide is usable on tablets and netbooks, it *can't* be CPU limited on bigger machines.

If Remix OS is targeting quad core 2.5+ GHz Xeon processors on desktops and "mobile workstations", fine, but the devices JIDE is selling are tablets and netbook class computers. Because that's where their likely market is. My Latitude 2100 is not an atypical netbook, runs Ubuntu LTS just fine, and there's people running Windows 10 on Latitude 2100s so it should be quite capable of running a "modern OS".

Remix OS doesn't even support UEFI boot, so calling it a modern OS is inappropriate. It doesn't run on old hardware (doesn't work on my intel dual core which is a 64 bits cpu) nor does it boot on new computers that support only UEFI boot.

When even Windows 10 has a 32 bits version, I hope that Remix OS, which claims that "you can literally bring your Remix experience wherever you go", will run on every x86 chipset.

Not all of them are. The higher end Z series Atoms are 64bit. (http://ark.intel.com/products/series/84071/Intel-Atom-Processor-Z3500-Series#@Mobile)

Hi all, I have an Asus Eeepc 1015PED with 1 gb of Ram and an Intel Atom N455 processor. I always thought it was a 32-bit processor, but in the specs on intel website, it says it is a 64bit processor. I tryed to install remixos yesterday without any success. Can anyone help me or have an answer to the 32/64 bit question?

I am stuck with the same problem.  I am trying to install Remix OS on to a clean drive on a HP Mini 110.  I get the error message about it being 64bit and when I try with other loaders, I get through to an Android x86 screen and select the second option and the computer locks up.

I was so wanting to try this software out but now?  I don't know.  It's left a bad taste in my mouth.

It's Phoenix OS, not Phonix, and it currently is only 64-bit too.

BTW. Why would you want to run a limited Android OS on your 32-bit PC when you can install a fully open source lightweight Lubuntu, which can run both full-blown desktop apps and Android apps via ARC Welder in Chromium?

Yes, I try it and it works. Trust on me men, jajaja! Try it and if its a joke or a false file you can come back and say me asshole xD Its really 32 bits Remix OS ISO file.
I search it manually and after try a few ISOs of 64bit I finally find it.
I try it a HP Mini 5101 and works like live cd, but to install it you must search an other post because this feature is not included yet on 2.0 Remix OS vanilla iso.
Hope I can help everyone who wants to try this S.O.
When they add the feature to add the hard disk install option I will try it again.

I HAVE INTEL PENTIUM 4 CPU AND THE OTHERBOARD WAS REPLACED IN 2012. WILL REMIX OS2.0 32 BIT RUN ON IT WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. WHILE BOOTING FROM USB 3 IT HANGS AFTER DISPLAYING REMIX OS LOGO. PLEASE GUIDE ME OUT.
