Frankly speaking, Remix OS has a long way to go. I have been following it since the Alpha release. That was totally useless. The resident mode could not be booted at all. The guest mode just about managed to boot after 45 minutes of struggling, but was quite unstable. Considering it was a Alpha release, I took it in it's stride.
Needless to say I was excited when the Beta was released. But alas, it didn't work for me, I have tried the 64 bit version with UEFI and Non-UEFI modes on my Sony Vaio laptop. With UEFI enabled, the 64 bit version does not boot at all. The 32 bit legacy version does manage to boot a bit quicker than the alpha release, but after that it becomes impossible to work. Every 3-4 minutes it sort of reboots, by showing the Remix OS logo on a blank screen, then it says "Upgrading", next it says "Restarting" and the desktop returns. This cycle is repeated every 3-5 minutes.
I have also tried it on a Samsung netbook with Intel Atom dual core processor and 1 GB ram, again unsuccessfully. Now I have given up totally, and shall be waiting for further improvements in the OS before trying it again.
A word of praise here won't be out of place. The interface (desktop) is really commendable with very good screen resolution. But unfortunately, just staring at the desktop won't take me anywhere! lol
