Installing Remix OS onto your hard disk - Simple Tutorial

Before following the tutorial, please make sure you have these items that can be used for installing Remix OS:

• Knowledge of on how to create partitions
• Knowledge of on how to open a file manager
• A USB 3.0 device (you can use 2.0)
• Remix OS downloaded

NOTICE: Use Rufus to write the Remix OS ISO to the USB.

do you need  to update grub when you do the install (linux environment)?
if the contents of the ISO is already on the new partition, why do you need to insert and boot to the USB?

GRUB doesn't detect Android x86 as a operating system. It will not be listed there, and putting it on GRUB is just a waste of time.

I followed the steps here but for some reason I cant boot. I'm stuck at Detecting Android-x86 and it's been like that for half an hour now.  My computer is running off of an AMD Athlon II x 440.  Could this have anything to do with the problem?

I am using windows 10

In the instruction, it says "Put the contents of the ISO on the partition.". How do you put the content of ISO to ext4 partition ? Windows does not recognize the ext4 partition.

Followed all the steps and when I select the RemixOS entry it seems to load.  Up to the point of Detecting Android-x86 then it gets stuck
