I get the same error with slightly different numbers as I use a amd Apu for a processor.

I was able to install 2.0 403 32 bits on incompatible processors,on my side on amdx2 Apu it was saying family model 16.
but now it work with it.but it needed a new compatible video card (Nvidia GT 450)

I think we needs a new kernel from JIDE for supporting our CPUs!!! Version 2 was OK!! Version 3 not!!

from my point of view JIDE should use the kernel OS Ubuntu Remix! Ubuntu Kernel has more support for all devices.

Update: I'm an ubuntu user and I create a folder where I put the remixos3 iso content. After creating a grub configuration for remix I reboot and RemixOS3 runs!!! No kernel issues... tested on toshiba i3 intel.

I try to explain in this post:

- First of all you need to have Ubuntu, or other Linux distro, installed in your PC or you have to be expert in installing GRUB for Win. We will install RemixOS3 in dual boot with linux.

Unzip the Remix OS Zip file:

$ unzip RemixOSFilename.zip

Mount the ISO in /mnt:

$ sudo mount -o loop RemixOSFilename.iso /mnt

Create a folder in root:

$ sudo mkdir /RemixOS

Copy the ISO content in /RemixOS

$ sudo cp -R /mnt/* /RemixOS

Create the data folder:

$ sudo mkdir /RemixOS/data

Edit the 40_custom GrubFile:

$ sudo gedit /etc/grub.d/40_custom

Add these lines (it will be different from distros) ... these are mine:

menuentry "Remix OS Marshmallow" {

        insmod gzio

        insmod part_gpt

        insmod ext2

        set root='hd0,gpt6'

        search --file --no-floppy --set=root /RemixOS/kernel

        linuxefi /RemixOS/kernel quiet root=/dev/ram0 androidboot.hardware=remix_x86_64 androidboot.selinux=permissive DATA= vga=788

        initrdefi /RemixOS/initrd.img

}

Pay attention to "set root=" to identify the disk/partition where is installed Ubuntu.

Now go to apply with:

$ sudo update-grub

Try to reboot and select the "Remix OS Marshmallow" ... let me know if it is ok for you all!!!

Those two lines do the same thing, so you can remove one of them. in your case I'd remove the search as you know your disk/partition
