Hi all
i have done some test on the two version of remix os with legacy bios, here the results:

Hardware spec:
Acer aspire 6930g
CPU intel core 2 duo T5800 64bit
ram 4 gb
hdd 250 gb
gpu nvidia geforce 9300M gs 256MB
pendrive used: Kingstone Datatraveler G3 16gb

The first version i tested was the 64 bit edition, this one simply reboot before doing the boot animation. End of Test

The second version tested was the latest 32 Bit version, that was working up to the setup wizard, i can see the logo android x86, i can see the flashing remix os bootanimation, and after that i get to the setup wizard, i can accept agreement and setup the wifi, but just after clicking start, i see a flash of the desktop image, and obtein only a black screen with a working floating mouse, if a press power button,  tre selection will open, suspend, reboot and power off, i can select the option, the suspend mode appear to work, but after exiting the suspend the screen become upside down, reboot and power off just do what they have to do.

than, any way to fix the black screen issue on this card ? actually ?

P.S. Sorry for my english i hope that my explanation was enough clear

I'm getting nearly the same results. I'm running Remix OS on my NVIDIA GPU computer (not sure which NVIDIA GPU since it is a custom one) off of my Internal Hard Drive. It is a UEFI computer. Before I had this problem, I was successfully able to get Remix OS to boot in Legacy Mode off of my USB Drive. But then I wanted to install Remix OS to my computer. I got it to boot, but immediately after completing the Setup, the screen turned black with my cursor still active and on-screen. It also said something wasn't responding and offered the option to wait or close it. I pressed wait and the Setup started over. The screen went black again so I held the power button so I could hard-restart it. The Power Menu appeared. So I pressed Restart and Remix was caught in a boot loop. It constantly kept going to the Remix OS logo and then looping back to the Android x86 logo. I hard restarted it and tried it again but it did the exact same thing. Also, whenever my computer turns off the display due to no input, it starts the setup over again. I believe it is a problem with Remix OS not being booted in Legacy mode due to it being installed to the computer, but I don't know how to boot it from my Hard Drive in Legacy BIOS Mode. Is there any way to possibly fix this? Is it a problem with my specific Graphics card? Is it a problem with Remix OS being installed on my Hard Drive?

Now it is doing something weird. I can start Remix OS fine at a lower resolution than 1920x1080 which is my native resolution, but when I do start RemixOS at 1920x1080, it boots to the desktop, stops loading the desktop in the middle of it booting up so half of the icons are on the task bar and the cursor can't be used. Then it goes into a boot loop similar to before, but booting all of the way to half of the desktop and then back to the Android x86 logo.

This is the "linux" line I can use to run Remix OS on NVIDIA: linux /android-2016-02-02/kernel root=/dev/ram0 androidboot.hardware=remix_x86_64 nouveau.modeset=0 video=uvesa androidboot.selinux=permissive quiet SRC=/android-2016-02-02 DATA=CREATE_DATA_IMG=1

This is the line that runs 1920x1080, but fails as above: linux /android-2016-02-02/kernel root=/dev/ram0 androidboot.hardware=remix_x86_64 nouveau.modeset=1 video=uvesa androidboot.selinux=permissive quiet SRC=/android-2016-02-02 DATA=CREATE_DATA_IMG=1

Is there any way to run Remix OS at 1920x1080?

ok tested the new iso, same problem has the older 64bit iso it reboot just before the bootanimation, umm than get to a new question why my card is able to get to setup wizard on 32bit version and not on 64bit version ? something on compiling the video driver i think must be different or something connected to efi bios, because i had just a similar problem when i converted an efi android lollipop 64bit image files to standard iso, the version on it reboot before doing the bootanimation when the standard 32bit lollipop on legacy  iso version was working just fine at the limit of the mesa 11.0.7 driver that where more bugged for my gpu than the 10.5.8 mesa, than i think that if you can use an older version of the mesa driver for legacy it will obtein more results than that, one. The most problematic on 11.0.7 mesa was that even the android x86 was working with that mesa it won't show the 2d desktop wallpaper, i only get black wallpaper any 2d wallpaper on that mesa get a black screen, only live wallpaper worked on it, and a lot of app freeze more frequently than on 10.5.8 mesa.

another test i do yesterday was on he 32bit resident mode, result:
It get to setup wizard, i can select a wifi connection but i can't enter the password because it open the panel but i can't see anything only some black stripes appear, ingnoring it get to the desktop but it begin to flashing black  trying to open the left panel and after tree or four flash it freeze and i had to restart. Video Driver issue for sure, I hope that sometime the nouveau team fix all this issue, if only nvidia had given the driver code a lot of problem haven't appeared,  i don't think i will take any more pc with nvidia for sure on the next year really hate when i can't find a dirver for an os, from this side amd and intel had a great support for their card.

For everyone who is having that issue please note, not all GPUs are supported yet. There is a thread floating around that has a list of supported and unsupported GPUs. If anyone wants I could start compiling a list on google docs for fast and easy checking.

Same thing here - black screen - I get all excited to see the magic and just a black screen. Guest mode too.

Getting this problem with the latest build. nVidia GPU problem? Have a GTX 970. Oddly I can move the mouse on the black screen, and I get the stanby/reboot/power off options when I press the power button. Just no viewable desktop.

Hi, I found a solution, Download the initrd.img from one of the links below and replace it with the initrd.img in the source folder of your remix os or in the usb. It should work properly. please reply if it worked.

I tried this on an older Dual Core 64 bit Dell with no success. Still getting black screen after selecting "Resident" but before RemixOS logo appears.
