Hi,

I installed Remix 2.0 beta to a Virtualbox harddrive. And installed Google Services by clicking the "Install Apps" link on the desktop. Installed the .apk. And rebooted.

After the reboot I start Google Play, enter my Google Account, and try to install the Gmail app. However, it keeps displaying "Download pending..."

I've already tried several times stopping and clearing data of Google Services, Google Play Store and Google Services Framework, including removing my Google account. That didn't work.

I think it might have something to do on where Google Play wants to store the downloaded apps on the virtual harddisk.

Anyone have an idea??

Cheers, Wout

Hi Larry, I've removed and reentered my account name more than 10 times. Also used another Google account.
It all doesn't work.

Did you install the Play Store using the app or did you activate the built-in Play Store? I have installed Remix on 12 computers and I di not use the app. Play Store can be activated from command line

Enter the root terminal (Alt+F1) and run this:
pm disable com.jide.apppolicy
This will disable JideAppPolicy.
Then run these:
pm enable com.android.vending
pm enable com.google.android.syncadapters.contacts
pm enable com.google.android.gms
pm enable com.google.android.gsf
pm enable com.google.android.partnersetup
pm enable com.google.android.feedback
pm enable com.google.android.syncadapters.calendar
pm enable com.google.android.gsf.login
pm enable com.google.android.backuptransport
Then press (Alt+F1) to return to the desktop.
Reboot before opening Play Store

Well, this does not work if you have clicked the "Install Apps" link displayed on the desktop beforehand.
Can this "install Apps" be undone, so I can try the command line way?

Not sure what the install app does I never tried it. The command line method was shown to me and I never used anything else.
