sequencing with overhang

Hi Remix-Api Listers!

A simple question. 

So far I have used the containers AudioQuantumList and Simultaneous to, sequence and mix respectively segments. As I understand, AudioQuantumList starts the following segment when the previous segment ends.

I was wondering, is there a basic pattern for doing sequencing with overhang/overlap?
