New issue 53 by brianawhitman: "no module named echonest.action" on WinXP
http://code.google.com/p/echo-nest-remix/issues/detail?id=53

from another person:

I'm new to python. I tried following your instructions to install
everything (on WinXP). I got to step 3:
Make something beautiful! But I can't run swinger.py. I get the message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "swinger.py", line 16, in
from echonest.action import render, Playback, display_actions
ImportError: No module named action

Since "action" is in the second import statement, does that mean the API is
installed correctly
otherwise? What did I do wrong?

I'm having this same issue on Ubuntu 10.04 x64. However, If I comment out
that line,
I get the same error message for the next line, leading me to believe the
problem is
with multiple modules.

I had the same issue on a Windows Virtual Machine, and I solved it by
adding C:\Python26\Lib to my PYTHONPATH environment variable.

Same problem for me on Mac OS X.

I installed the package but the echo nest module is not found by python
I also tried to build manually, but it fails with
'unable to execute llvm-gcc-4.2: No such file or directory'
