I've noticed Modify doesn't handle stereo processing, and even has a
comment from Ben Lacker saying:
# For now, make everything mono. We'll deal with channels later
Well, I think I've added proper SoundTouch stereo processing. It hasn't
been tested extensively, but handles stereo properly by passing the two
channels, properly interleaved, to the SoundTouch module. (It works well
enough that it's going into production for the Wub Machine!) The speed
reduction is about 2x, which makes sense - SoundTouch has to process twice
the samples. No change in speed for mono sound, however.
I've attached a patched version of modify.py.
