If you want to run a Minecraft multiplayer server by yourself things get kind of involved (see this wiki article for a tutorial). First make sure you can use java from the command line. On Linux and macOS this should already be set up but on Windows you might have to tinker with the PATH environment variable.

The Minecraft Launcher is your hub for accessing all of your favorite Minecraft games on PC. You can download new versions of Minecraft games, access multiplayer servers, manage your profile, get mod support, and more with Minecraft Launcher. Learn more about Minecraft Launcher through the help center.

If you are having trouble opening the Minecraft Launcher, you may need to check for updates or contact the Minecraft Support Team to report your issue. You can also browse through the Minecraft Launcher Troubleshooting FAQ page to see if your issue has been addressed.

Login to your server with the user that you installed amp on then open CMD and run this command: ampinstmgr switch instancename Development replacing instancename with the actual name of the instance in AMP. then we are going to update your instance with ampinstmgr upgrade instancename

This is to put you into the dev branch as there is a fix for it right now. If you have any more problems, please reply back to here or join the discord. We know that there are more bugs with Minecraft Bedrock and are working on trying to track them down. Amp Logs would be useful

The two versions do not work together, and can not connect to each others serverstype.
To be able to connect o a minecraft java server you need this version of minecraft: -us/store/minecraft-java-edition/

The java server only accepts java clients.
The bedrock server accept the following: Win10 Appstore version, Android version, IOS version. In theory also game console versions, but those consoles limit the posibility to connect to servers by IP-adress.

I got a problem. I am writing a simple script to login to minecraft.net, and then list all classic servers. But when I run my script, it just redirects me back to minecraft.net/login. Here is what I have so far:

What about using Selenium instead of urllib? When doing complex stuff like authentication etc. I prefer to use Selenium as it is like web browsing. This solution requires an installation of a Firefox.
