Desktop notifications

I’m wondering if there is some way to get Reminder Fox to display a desktop notification, even when Thunderbird is minimised?

Minimize doesn't deactivate an application. So why shouldn't you get a Notification. Are you speaking about Reminderfox Alert oer Alarm features here?
