generate a report of completed tasks

I'd like to know if anyone has experience with generating reports of completed tasks. I believe it would be helpful to my productivity analysis. I have printed an 'agenda' of completed items using the context menu, but this seems kloodgy, and the html is less actionable that I would like. Preferable if the data could be pulled into e-mails or word processors.
